I am willing to bet the trunk floor will be the same as the CH 4 door model.

Lukily for Craig there were 70 of these sold in UK. Unluckily he probably won't find one in much better condition. Worst comes to worst you can probably source a good one in Aus.

boot floor hump is the same

boot floor either side of centre looks to be the same

happy to take photos of my charger if you want

rear panel for lights same shape and size.

the boot lock tower is the same.

the centre is different and the fuel tank underneath si different

the boot lid for both cars was pressed in the same machine

they just used a short sheet for the charger and hammered over the rear edge to make a square hatch boot i.e you could use a charger bootlid with the back end of yours welded on.

full front end apart from the grill bumper and headlight mounts is the same from 1/2 along the doors forward same across the whole range.

front spoiler/stone trays for under the bumpers difered slightly on chargers in 1971....they all fit

Any idea how much of the cab will fit? A pillars, windscreen aperture and rad support are on his list? Could these parts be adapted?

Dave if you are refering to the trunk parts being the same a Charger then you are probably wrong. I was going to get out the old parts list book today but got really busy, I'll make sure I do it tomorrow.

Part numbers are as follows:

Rear Floor Pan:
  • Code 23-32-48 ---- (parts list reference)
Application VH,CH ---- (And I suspect later aswell but this is a 71 list)
Part number 3428931 ---- (Chrysler Part no)
    Application 41,23 ---- (Sedan and 2dr Hardtop)
There are 3 other part numbers for this part, one for Station Wagon and 2 different options for Charger (Std & A84 package).

Therefore it is the Center floor pan that creates the different wheelbase seen in the 23 (Hardtop) models, on reference they all have different part numbers.

Started work on her today.

Figured it best to start at the rear, as this is the easiest bit to do.

Made this patch pannel, need to fix the rot under it before i weld it in.
