That looks awesome. I love the ratty look. I also intend to do just enough to get my 69 charger on the road to drive it but it will be a tad longer wait than yours. Good luck and have fun as I intend to, (eventually)

That's the plan Dave. I have got some special wax that I'm going to rub into the pitted surface rust to preserve it. My mate who is going to graft in a new trunk and rear lower quarters is a VW head who loves to preserve the patina look. He's got a Buick Riv that looks like it came from the Bristol Channel.

The stuff is made by Morris Oils (the classic oil people) and it's called ANKOR WAX. It's not as runny as waxoyl and easier to work with. Tim @ Roadhouse swears by it, and he's got some sun scorched rides.
I'm really pleased you boys dig the original ratty look as I did expect a barrage of people asking when I was going to paint it.

Here she is at the LA docks last week just before getting containered up. The dock shipping manager is a mate - he is actually Bananarama! on my beloved Mope. Bananarama!
