Guy will be in charge of allocating the numbers (together with some help from yours truly) and Guy has indicated that he will only be open to bribes in the form of exotic Mopar bits.
The MMA numbers obviously go with the car, as quite a few members have more than one car that they regularly show or race.
As this thread has descended into the usual banter and will no doubt carry on in the same vein for a while yet

Martin will be opening up a sticky thread for you to enter your details.
Please help us crack this one, if only for Clivey and I to talk some sense in the commentary box at the Nats...otherwise he'll only start going on about crumpet and you wouldn't want that would you?

To echo Ivor's comments, this information will be very helpful to both the commentators, and more importantly to the spectators as it will give them (hopefully) a reason for greater interest in the track action.
I will knock up a spreadsheet with all the details in that will be kept in the gantry for the weekend.
If Martin / Ivor have no objection, I will put the sticky up and in the first post, will put some headings in for information to be added by you all. For example: Driver, car, model, year, engine, brief history etc.
It may be easier for me to allocate you with the numbers as they are added to the spread sheet. Then all you have to do is put it on the car. Over the weekend, I will trot around the pits picking up other details on cars / drivers that are not in the MMA so we can have as full a set of information as possible. They can have some other numbers.
How does that sound?

I would like 265 for the Charger, vinyl better than shoe whitener. I put shoe whitener on my Herald years ago and it never came off, it dribbled onto the paint and rubber and is still there 15 years later.
Im sure Jeff could do some nice spangly vinyl numbers for us.

We thought it would be fun to swop numbers. We were right.
Yes I can do vinyl for those that want.

Don't worry Clivey, Martin's already put the sticky up to collect the info and from that information Guy/you/me/old uncle Tom Cobbleigh can but together the spreadsheet.
Likethe idea of doing a manual check at the nats though...will you be buying the show whitener?
