I think it is still pretty reasonable. Compared to prices here!

Got to agree with you Jeff as last time we went to Cornwall for a week we spent £1500.00 and was paying upto £5.00 a time just to park anywhere and £3.25 for a cream tea so is very resonable but there again i dont like wasting money and a lot of what the costs are now is fuel and airport charges my lot works out to £900.00 of the cost and thats nealy $1800.00 which you can do a hell of a lot with.

Before i booked i was watching the internet prices on a daily basis, the amount it fluctuated was huge for no apparrent reason it would go up £500 and not just on one specific date or hotel all dates and hotels would go up pretty much the same amount, i booked it at £2260 the following day it was £2040 but then the next day and from that day onwards it was over £3200, just wish i knew how it worked. We booked in late Feb08 and went the 1st week of May08 and went with First Choice.

Although the hire car was in the holiday price the insurance wasn't so it worked out cheaper getting a car elsewhere, i used easycar £300 for a Caddy SRX4 for 2 weeks fully insured and CDW, but the queer thing is its Alamo that supply the car.

Would recommend the Petty Experience it was alot better than i thought it would be, i went to Daytona to do it and probably the most amazing thing is the banking on the turns you dont realise how steep they are until your belting round them at 150MPH, on the straights and the pit bend it feels like your hardly moving it is so wide open there is no feeling of speed, not sure if the track at disney would be as good.

Sandy not sure of the interior on the Javelin didn't get a close look at many of them so much to see in such a short time the 2 weeks just flew by cant wait to go back and have a bit more time to see more of the things we liked.

Was gutted i didnt get to the strip on saturday for race night, seen some quick cars at practice though, the little red toyota seen up against the camaro was wicked but just uncontrollable no wheelie bars and running on drugs it was similar to the fiat 126's used by Taz but just wanted to swap lanes every time he got on the gas.

The puff of blue smoke seen behind the datsun 260 was terminal track had to be cleaned afterwards and car pushed on to trailer.

The lad in the Viper got a bit of a shock when he ended up 2nd across the line by a long way.

A challenger we seen on the road, and some of the cars outside the SRT workshops in Daytona Speedway.
