I tell you what, I have just started a business selling sharp knives - if anyone fancies slitting their throat I'll do you a good deal.

Whatever happens, happens. Deal with it WHEN it happens. We all did last time, and we will do it again.

I am starting to wonder why I bothered coming back to post last week. :?

Sorry Clivey!

But.... for warned is for armed...

Threat of house prices going down? I sold ours!
Threat of house prices crashing in US... I sold ours!

Dollar hits lowest for years at $2.04.. But they tell us it is not going to last?...... I Stick A Bananarama! great wodge of sterling into my US account!

If you see it coming, you can duck!
I knew all this but i still did not manage to sell my house in time :x so the warnigs last year were to late it had already started in my opinion.

Jeff,

who gives a toss if house prices go down - you need a roof over your head and if you can afford the mortgage (which you should be able to because it should be REALISTICALLY based on your TRUE earnings) what does it matter? It'll all come back round.

You should also be appreciative of the fact that you have a holiday home in the US in the first place. The credit crunch is hardly gonna send you down Aldi's now is it.

I am really worried about the credit crunch. It panicks me to death. Every time I look at my £3k Breitling I think - oh god, one step closer to homelessness.

Fair enough...... Think we have gone a little off topic!

Luck don't come into into by the way Clive....... Working 70 hr weeks, and sleeping on the floor at work, to get the work done, and working ones nuts off is not luck. But as you know.. we are heading for a change of life!

Will be able to afford a Mopar? Nope!! I may be able to afford a 4x4 for the snow, and a normal car for the summer! And I am looking forward to it! :thumbright:

I count myself lucky! last hear when i sold my house and the sale fell through :x the bank offered to loan me the money for the place i was after, and said you could rent one out until you sell etc so not a big risk.

It would have tripled my Morgage and thank God i did not do it, or i would have been seriously in the poo now.
