Evidently when that Rolls was built the cost of it was in comparison 4 times what it would have been today, i.e. a £250,000 Rolls today would by comparison cost £1,000,000!

Eh? :? Are you saying that it was Veyron-esque in that it was more expensive to make than sell? Or that it would cost 4 x more to build today if the same practices were applied? :read2:

No, I mean by comparison to the rate of inflation, it cost four times more to buy in 1934 than it would today.
