Thanks guys, thing is, i really like those big chrome bumpers, despite what they weigh.
As for torque and not having enough to spin the tyres, it is a potential issue, just hope i'm not disappointed, especially as the new cam/intake will push the power curve upwards. But, the ETs quoted are on 3.23 open diff.
Steve/Allkiller, far too subtle for me, regarding cool air. What did you have in mind?

Its just 3/10 of a second...... [-o<

Hey Miles , as long as you got @ least 2" , preferably 3" from bowl vents to top of filter you should be fine , any less than this the air finds it hard makin that sharp turn. You can shave a bit off the vents if it makes it easier.

With the new Air gap inlet, the K & N filter is very close to the hood.

Does'nt matter how close the filter top/bakin pan is to the underside of hood , tis the air gap between bowl vents & pan , bowl vents being the little bits of tubing sticking up from the top of throttle body , the one's that are cut with a 45* chamfer.

Tis the drop base that cause the problems , you can't get the air gap between vents & cleaner top , have cut 1/2" off the vents before , even then it was tight.

No problem with street motors , but when yer full throttle it won't help.

OK gotcha. Need to investigate the carb in the garage tomorrow.
Interesting conversation and in a small, relative way shadows what Adam is doing with the Charger.

This is where it gets difficult , costs much more , also gotta get it right with indestructable & reliable parts , otherwise yer comin home on a trailor.

I've been lucky , if i had to put a bet on the Pit not makin it home it would of been when i put a 300 shot of sniff through it , was on the edge with the nitrous plate even though i knew i should of gone fogger , made it home though.

You may not need a drop base but the Ram air box is 3.5- 4 inches tall....not sure on your clearance :thumbright:

Have you got a 'glass hood yet Miles? That's worth about 50lbs off the nose. Two birds with one stone...........

I'd be happy to have one Pete, but never seen one advertised and shipping one over is not financially viable given that other parts of the car need attention in due course.

Get Dale (DRE) to make you one. You can have an integral scoop then :thumbright:

Would most likely be a lift off type as it is hard to get strength in at the hinge point - and then they bow; just look at an AAR
