I am sure Simon will put up more threads on the 440 build when he is ready.

Yeah.... But will he get the responses again? I don't think so. I am sure the original thread can be sorted so the offending parts are gone.

Adam is a bit peeved and I can understand why, he put his time and effort into his postings, then they get wiped. If Adam decides to spend more time on the USA sites, it is a big loss to all of us here! And god knows we have lost too many valuble people from this board already!

I think it is a shame...

Unfortunately Jeff on this occasion the posts cannot be reinstated. I have however now put procedures into place that should prevent this situation happening again.

I can understand how members who have spent time making posts may feel if these are deleted, however please also consider the amount of their own time moderators and myself spend on keeping the MB running.

I've taken your and Adams comments on board and have done something about it, thanks.

No probs , i certainly won't be reading any threads regards the Petty build.

I respect the time & effort you guys (moderators) put into this site , a lot goes on behind closed doors , keep up the good work.

Id like to think the original poster must have some kind of ownership over it,no? I'm mean who would like it if i just started posting ramdom pictures on people's for sale add for example? I'm sure they, more than anyone else would be quite upset.

And Adam, I can understand how you feel but credit to Si I dont think he was picking out your posts to be culled on purpose, they just got chopped with the rest without much thought. I bet if Si had a time machine he would make sure your's stayed. One to keep the peace and 2 because they had good info in them. Everyone makes mistakes!

Hey , i'm not refering to my post , dave's post was invaluable , the problem i got is some members can't be bothered to read the tech section & got no interest in furthering their knowledge , then they got the cheek to waste peoples time & get all the info wiped off.

You would think a member with a high post count would have @ least contributed with some good info over the course of time , i rest my case. ;)

And people wonder why this site has been quiet of late.

Well, I have to hold my hands up, I don't post any infomative stuff up. When it comes to motors? Well ask Dave R!... Anything mechanical I try to avoid! Body wise, I can just about sort out.

But to be honest, the very first incarnation of the messageboard was meant for fun, and to bring members together as pals.... It was a success. I would like to see both. Room for jokers as well as tech.

I can see a lot of great things here, and I see a lot of crap!

Well, I guess members will just have to be selective about what they read, as well as what they post.

How about 'Check te rack on this!' That would maybe give you a clue to pass on that thread if, say you did not want to see big firm boobies! :D
