Its not "as new"

but you did say it was scratched

i.e conflicting message in the listing...easy done

he doesn't like what he has got from you

he needs to send it back at his expense
and you pay him back.

in future just keep the email short....

Oh i'm sorry you didn't like the product.
I felt i had listed it correctly, obviously you disagree
send it back and you can have your money back

Cheers
Pete

Just knock em off balance by being extra nice, avoid any discussion about the listing or the merits of the product. They then don't tend to rant about the extra post and packing. People are more forgiving if they think they are up for a battle and you just agree in a general way with everything they say, and say ok send it back.

more words just gives them more to answer in the next mail...the more they say the more annoyed you get.....

a sense of jolly repartee must be fostered...its worth it just to avoid the greif

oh dear...a mishap has befallen our transaction ..... do send it back poppet.... and i'll give you a refund... laa de dar isn't everything wonderful...do check my other auctions

That's the gist..... not what you should actually say i.e don't nick my words....he'll think you're odd.... use yer own

Not the only one

Just found a complete engine/gearbox (2 years looking for one together) for my YZ 426. Seller claimed engine was Good.

Only on receiving said engine, Bottom end worn, Incorrectly assembled clutch, Broken inner clutch basket and missing thrust washer.

All ebay did was say send it back and ill get a full refund, however chances are low of another full engine/gearbox coming along. Asked for For a partial refund towards fixing and ebay shafted me.

Ebay have sided with the seller and wont budge

left with a un needed credit card bill and useless engine

Hopefully Credit card company refund me in full

but on the off chance anyone up north want to deliver a good kickin to the fella.....................

:P

Australia
In Australia, the doughnut is almost always spelled "donut". They are a popular snack food. Hot jam doughnuts, known simply as a jam donut in Australia are particularly popular[6] and a unique aspect of Australian culture, especially in Melbourne, Victoria and the Queen Victoria Market, where they are a tradition.[7] Jam donuts are similar to a Berliner but are served hot with red jam (raspberry or strawberry) injected into a bun that is deep fried and then frosted in either sugar or cinnamon. Mobile vans that serve jam donuts are often used at spectator events, carnivals and fetes and also roadside at popular spots areas like airports. Jam donuts are sometimes also bought frozen. They are known, however to sometimes cause severe burns to the mouth, especially when improperly microwaved due to their distinct outer and inner layers.[8] In South Australia, they are known as Berliner or Kitchener and often served in cafes. Traditional doughnuts are also available in Australia from specialised retailers and convenience stores although not as popular. Donut King is the largest doughnut company in Australia

Pete, I think this guy is trying it on. Just because he runs his own ebay shop and has 5396 feedback and you are new with only 0 feedback, he thinks that you'll just buckle under and take the light back at your expense. I agree with what's been said by others, try and resolve it amicably as your feedback rating is everything on the bay, last thing you want is negative when you're already at 0!!!

Personally, I would never buy anything from someone with 0 rating, however this guy did and it was his decision, so he should stick with it and shut up and get that buffer out!!!! :thumbright:
