I've only just seen this!!
Donations fine to come to us at MMA HQ then we can do one cheque from the MMA. If everyone is happy with that, then send direct to us at 18 Bedford Rd , Shefford, Beds, SG17 5DJ , cheque payable to MMA and put Red Nose Day somewhere on the envelope or back of cheque!

Thanks in advance and all the best to Neil and the other entrants.

Neil we will need an article for Connected when you have finished the tour.

You can put me down for some money as well.Unfortunately I don't think i can escape from work when you pass through Coventry but good luck anyway. Also I have just had Adrian Waller ( yellow 71 Roadrunner ) on the phone and he said if you guys want to divert through to Dunchurch ( just outside Rugby ) that he will lay on some drinks for all concerned at his restaurant 9 The Huntsman Carvery ) if you are up for it either give him a ring on 01788 811748 or ring me or my good lady on 01788 335021 and we'll sort something out.

I just saw on TV that they were indeed in Newcastle yesterday or today. Pity we never got any idea of were they were going to be. Trev Young fancied showing up in his Charger. I would have turned up too for a look. :(

I know they were at the local BBC center because they were filmed there. But i guess they were here for the night somewhere? I feel a bit dissapointed.

Chaps,

Managed to speak to Neil on the phone today, and it sounds like the rally has been madness !! albeit good madness though !

The schedules have been constantly changing, and with all the driving and running around I dont think there has been much time to access the net etc and keep us all updated.

I think Will managed to catch up with them today on the M4 (Will - any news ??)

Basicallly he said he was having a great time, meeting some even greater people, and was sorry that there hasn't been time to meet up/keep you posted, but a big thanks for all the support. All the cars are going fine although the Torino has had a fresh valve spring.

Hopefully Will has some more for us . . . .

I noticed they had stopped in Swindon today - but I was 55 miles down the M4 at Bracknell - Damn!!

Might take my Patrol car to work tomorrow just to cheer myself up :(

Neil rang me wanting a vital piece of equipment from me for the Starsky Torino, so using that as a good excuse to jump in the General and bunk of work today I ambushed the convoy on the M4 knowing that they were sheduled to stop at at Membury services to unload the TV cars from the transporter for the next part of their tour. I followed the tourbus to the services where they were already unloading the cars.

Moyles & co came along an hour later, moments later Moyles peered into my car, which had the usual crips packets, cheezy 80's plastic box speakers, CB wiring, and the like stroon about the interior, unlike Neil's neatly presented example, and looked a bit confused! It was then explained to him that this was not 'their' General to which he after a short pause exclaimed 'This one is as Scruffy as F***'
