clivey, to feminine  thats a good un you teaser, havin said that if you were given a passenger ride in one by the stig or some one good you probably would pi55yer pants like a woman, ;)
That E class I drove was the same power and torque dunc. Twin Brabus superchargers and a re-map. Full brabus re-chip made it put out 750bhp.
it was mental, and yep, a bit frightening cos it laid the power so well. The SLR looks like an SL, and the SL55 AMG was voted the gayest car out a few years ago. Clarkson dumped his one not long after. Its just a hair dressers car on steroids in my book.
whats the eclass jobbie worth then clivey?????

nah the clk is the hairdressers but the amg 55 clk would need to be a bodybuilding hairdresser :D :D :D :D
no sorry dunc the clk gtr is the daddy of all merc supercars- admittedly more 'race' than super car
I know all the big fast german cars get slated on here, but if I could only have one car & had to do a few miles a day it would be german

& cheers dave, enjoy your dinner ? nice little pub that

If I only had one car it wouldn't be German Andy...the list of bad luck I've had with them is as long as your arm...

I hate to say it, but I'd probably end up with a Jap!

Dunc, the E55 was £117k in 2005, and it had about £25k of brab stuff on it. I know what you are gonna say - the SLR is £350k-ish, ut why would you want to spend all that on looking gay when you could get yerself down river Island, spend a pony on a handbag and have a mince around with it on yer arm with £349,975 in yer ass pocket

I'd be exactly the other way, Ivor. A rake of problems with a succesion of French (Yak!) and Jap cars. All manner of annoying stuff, from serious electrical gremlins, through the headlights on one burning back through their holders and dropping into the wiring, through to the wipers flying of in the Bananarama! rain on the motorway in the outside lane! All brand new cars that were serviced at all the right intervals.

Changed to a German car and 70,000 miles later in just 2 years and it hasn't missed a beat and still drives beautifully and is far better built than any of the others. :thumbright:
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

talking about german reliability,i seem to rememeber a press release or something for a new merc, one of the headlight bulbs were out [on a brand new car :? ]

merc have recently cut there profits by a huge amount to make sure there cars are more reliable, fair enough thats a good thing BUT they shouldent have to do that in the first place, especially when you consider the prices of some of there cars.

One other thing i have driven most mercs up to the £80.000 cl500 suercharged v8 and i must say i have not found a comfortable one
