The caltrac when set up properly will give you all the leverage you want , bit like a poor mans 4 link.
If nothing else you can eliminate the dreaded pinion snubber.

Glen, i have a vj that i have fitted the caltrac system to, its ok on the street, i aint running big power but the way i looked at it, hopefully one day i will. As you say the springs are a different length to normal A bodies, this i found out when i tried fitting them. The solution, strip the springs and redrill the centre bolt hole in the rear spring leaf section to shorten the spring ( use a pillar drill and good drill bits ).Do not redrill the front section as the measurment of the old and new spring eye to centre bolt is the same.
Regards
Darran.

Thankyou very much for the info - I expected a few yanks to be running the system, maybe some A body's would be as close as I'd get, but an Aus Charger is on the money! Cant get more specific than that!!
Got an Email from Calvert racing today saying they can help me out with the odd spring length ( I guess they'll tell me to drill the rear section like you just did!) so I'll call them tonight our time and place an order.
Good luck with power additions in the future!
PS - got a pic of the car???

Tough stance!! Looks like it means business.
Could chase up some doors if your really keen. Dont know what they're worth these days. Prices for Oz muscle cars have gone through the roof, and so have the parts! Luckily your shopping with English Pounds. Trust me its much easier than with Aussie Dollars!!
Not sure what the postman would make of em either but we can sort that out later!
