I can be a complete nob sometimes, bit of a miss type there, that's heavier than the stock car!Cannonball wrote:

The target weight is 2,200 lbs.

As far as the power output is concerned, I think I'm probabaly being a bit conservative, a well sorted 500 stroker, should make 550 quite easily I reckon, but any guesses would help...anyway, I don't mind driving a pussy wagon...I might even put a nice furry interior in it

If I can make 550hp with just a mild solid cam and mild port job on a stock stroke Ivor I am sure you can do better than that.
But 550 will still get you mid 10s if you are that light and stay off the pies.

Our Dart weighed in (factual, not guessing) at 2838lbs with no driver.
Glass fenders , no inner fenders, steel doors, no lexan, glass bumpers , glass boot lid, chassis connectors, cage. And no paint.
I think you have a challenge on your hands, especially if you are going to run ladder bars AND leaf springs...

When you consider a full weight big block A body tips the scales at around 3400lb, that's a lot of weight to get out. You will struggle to get it under 2800lb IMO. The early A bodies are the lightest of all so you've got a head start, but you will have to be totally anal about weight loss to get a streetable big block non chassis car under the 2800lb mark.
