Your kit is a bloody good price mate but I am edging into that higher compression and longer duration sort of area...... :roll:

Plus I need two rpm limiters. :oops:

with the compression and the cam and the fact you need the rev limiters an MSD is the way to do it, they're not cheap but when you get past a certain point they are needed.

You can run this system with an MSD limiter and it will work fine, but if you're that close to the figures it ain't worth it

My problem is i dunno if i'm in that sort of area or not!! I've a feeling i'll have to go the safe-but-expensive-but-shiny route

Paul with a compression ratio of 9:1 i very much doubt you've got a big numbers cam as at tickover you'd end up with very little compression at all

I have only got about 8.4-1 comp with a purple cam 484 duration and have almost zero static compression the cam is advanced 4 degrees to help stut the valves earlier which makes it a pig to start and does not give me a good idle(a bit erratic). I now use a msd which has helped my idle no end.
