An E type and an "E" body have about that same lack of visibility so they COULD both be muscle cars.
Aston or Bentley gets my vote every time for this category.

Yes there was a kit car company selling all the body panels to do this. I toyed with the idea back in the mid-80s. If I had gone ahead I was also going to fit a SBC engine too as there was a good transplant kit on the market for dropping chevy lumps into the Capri.

Outer door handles on that model Aston are off a MkII Cortina.

Hmmm, I was definately told they were Cortina. You could either get them for big bucks through AM, or pennies from ford. Was told that by the guy on the parts counter at AM in Newport Pagnell about 15 years ago, whilst on a corporate tour.

That Scimitar GTE, my dad had one, bloody useless...
V6 not at all fast, fibreglass shell, yes it didn't rust but the rear window/hatch leaked from day one.
Bucket seats in rear were hard as nails.
This is brought to you from the same stable that gave you the Robin Reliant remember.

Have to agree mate. They look poo and go like slow poo. A good freind of mine had until recently a really really clean Scimitar GTE he was selling. Its condition really was lovely. It was like herpes, just couldnt get rid at any price. I think they are a bit of a disappointment. Being a 3.0 V6, visions of spritely performance and throaty exhaust note get conjured up. They are just cock.!

Funnily enough I was looking at Scimitars and Interceptors on Ebay yesterday, I was really surprised at what you can pick them up for, £4k for a Jenson and £500 for Scimitars!

Stay clear of a 4k Jenson mate. They rot like buggery and cost heaps to repair. Drivetrain is simples but the super legerra body is a nightmare.

Have to say Sir, Andy Elston's Jensen was an absolute peach. The guy who bought that got it at a very reasonable price too. A real show n go Jensen.
I used to 'yearn' for one years ago. Saw myself in brown hush puppies, slacks, white half-unbuttoned shirt with cravat topped off with leather driving gloves giving it some round the Swiss Alps with a 25 year-old Diana Rig beside me in a skin tight leather cat suit. Proper gentlemans GT.
Pull over at the mountain view point, drag miss Rig from the car, and over the bonnet for a quick compression check.

first british muscle (cheap) cars for me
£400 rover SD1 3500 loadsa fun & loadsa power for there time, lots of rust & elecy window that up & down on there own first car to show 140 on speedo

& al my pals had mini's & mk'2
£1500 Jag XJS V12 love it felt like james bond in it, but less than 10 mpg

& some worrying noises from the back axle so had to go
£3k for a ex-plod 3.0 senator, proper dog but went like hell
then carlton GSI 24V proper fast saloon car & am not proud to say had my fastest ever 360 into a field in it
always wanted:
capri 3.0 s & opal monza but were always to to much money @ the time
