Tight crank?
Moderator: Moderators
Its getting worse. I followed alex's instructions. The crank is still only turnable with a socket. Morever, i inspected the bearings and found what appears to be wear in them already. The dull aluminium look has been changed to a brighter finish at either end of the bearing. Do i start shouting at the machine shop yet?

Yeah but no but yeah but scooter engines don't have cranks and rods with THIS much mass taking THIS much stress Miles. The bigger and more powerful you go the more carefull you have to be and the harder it gets.
Enjoy the learning process. I still learn stuff about my engine I didn't know before and do stuff on my engine that I have never done before. I LOVE learning and doing new things. It is interesting stuff and one day I might even get it right!
