Thanks Dunc, true in all respects.
Just to set the record straight, I phoned the vendor before any bids were placed and offered to pay via Paypal so all was transparent. He was nervous about that and preferred cash on collection ,I said ok, but make a statement on ebay saying that the car is sold.So i mailed him a bank deposit. In the time he took to do this, the bid appeared.
sorry mate, just wanted to be clear and i'll doubtless need some parts of you for it :)
