Hi Twinsters and Paul Lacey!
Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone.
Julie and I will rendezvous at the Cafe, but will not be having a breakfast; and we will cruise into Duxford from there.
Not used to cruising with such low-powered company, but we're not (too) proud!!!!!
Let's hope all the weather forecasts are wrong

Oh well, it wouldnt be the first time we got rained on at Duxford - it even snowed the first time we met there with the MMA
Looks like it's just us on our lonesome so we'll meet you Pete, Paul and any other cafe racers

at Duxford, hopefully not much later than 9.30.
Save us a space if you get there first...

A very good day out.Met the Twinsters on the gate.
Heavy rain cleared to leave great skies.
Good display of 2 Spitfires in very close formation.
Looking forward to the American day on the 17th, and then Great Gransden....

I'll put some pics in a new thread, so Matt/Pete/Paul/Ade etc can have their American Air Day thread back

Best keep it separate Ade, it can get confusing mixing 2 events in the same thread, especially when you think someone's arranged a breakfast meet for one event but it turns out to be the other.... hey Pete

Judging by the success of the Spitfire day at Duxford, which i ciuldnt do in tge end, I'm determined to go to the American Air Day on the 17th........... who else is up for it?
I'll call them and see what has to be done to get an area like we had last year but I'm sure they'll ask for numbers

MattH wrote:When I booked the American day last year the cost was £10 per car I think, so this is similarly priced and a good saving on the gate price.
If anyone is wanting to go but their car isnt running, it would make sense to hook up with someone in a classic before hand, maybe meet at Royston Tesco's.
I can't go this time.
I seem to remember the suggested 'donation' was £5 per car, as I was tasked with collecting a fiver off those who hadnt paid in advance.
Dunno if there would be a similar arrangement this year? Over to you Ade....
