Just read this, it is quite common on a (drag)race car to have the front wheels staggered, it gives you more rollout for staging = less chance of a red light. Check the position of the strut tops, if they are staggered by the same amount then this is what has been done.

Thanks Rob, thats the 1st reason I've seen that suggests it might be intentional.
I have my doubts in this case though...
The tops and bottoms of the struts and the front A-arm pivot (at the chassis rail) are all parallel-ish front-to-back. Eg measuring from the drivers torsion bar mount to the strut bottom pivot is 79cm, the passenger side is 78cm.
Althought the rear A-arms are different lengths, the mounts are offset so they equal out

yep a lump of 2x4 wood across front and then rear of tyres
