Steve wrote:Hi carl, think the problem might be that you may have difficulty proving, if things did go wrong with it, that it was poor workmanship/ parts failure etc, if you have been racing etc. They will be in the driving seat cos they have your money and you have 500lbs of bust engine, on another continent, that will cost you an arm and a leg in shipping fees etc to return, not to mention the legal fees you will incur arguing the toss over what is normal use etc. Sounds like potential to be a big headache for you if things go bad matey!!

Maybe it would be worth looking into buying a crate engine through a performance supplier here?? At least they are in the uk, and will be much easier to deal with as they are in this country and can be approached face to face.

Just a thought Carl.... Hate to see you get stung mate! Anyway, tons of pros on here to help you build your own monster hemi !!!

Good luck with whatever you do

Cheers Steve =P~
Hi Steve its not me thinking of buying a crate engine from the satates. My first post was in reply to Rogue Trooper "Would you consider spending all that money on an Engine that if it went bang you would be stuck with? Unless you paid an arm and a leg to send it back.
Would it not be cheaper to have an Engine built here and have a proper guarantee? " Then came the conversation about statutory rights etc. Thanks for your concern mate but im not intending to buy a crate engine, I will build my own eventually if I can get hold of a 440 :D

No prob mate its nice to know people are looking out for each others best interest. In return for your kind concern allow me to offer some good friendly advice :D Never do the cooking, always make out your buying everyone a treat and get a take away Kebab or chinese, always works and also dosent give the wife a chance to say can you cook tonight as well i dont feel well, and you cook so much better than me? Or what ever excuses they may use. Never admit to knowing how to do anything to em ;)

I tell the one i got.
"Look how many times do i have to tell you, continue the crease of the sleve onto the shoulder when you iron my shirts!"
"Well you do your own bloody shirts then if you can do 'em better!"
"Okay fair point the crease on the shoulder isnt that important, your doing a smashing job, carry on" Then its thrown at me

Hence another excuse for a garage :D Plus i dont want it on show either so for now i will build gates to put it behind on the otherside of the house.
