I nearly wept when i saw her in the flesh at Kennedy space center
Bloody amazing...Most powerful thing ever built by man full stop
One thing i wished id seen and never will

I never saw a Saturn V launch, but I have seen a Shuttle launch in the flesh and that was pretty impressive. It turned night into day.
I think it was "Challenger"

Saturn V at the Johnson Space centre in 2003, I believe it’s indoors now …

yeah it’s all big stuff, rocket parks are fantastic, I got to go to the Space & Rocket Centre in Huntsville, Alabama in 1998, the visit was an evenings corp entertainment during a business trip …

The Crawler is amazing i cant imagine being in charge of that with the S5 stood on top....Jesus thats responsibility
moves about .25 mph to get to the launch pad if i remember

WHY DOESNT NASA OR SOMEONE DO A sATURN V LAUNCH SIMULATOR
AS AN ASTRONAUT OR A SPECTATOR
AWESOME IDEA....JUST FOR THOSE THAT MISSED IT.
Like you Pete i have seen a shuttle launch and heard it return....funny story there...it was an early morning launch.....jaw dropping how the rockets can even turn early morning to mid afternoon brightness so quickly.
And the sonic booms on re entry so loud and quite frequent due to its speed
