Yes after all this I probably should have found one that was done
But I couldent afford one then and definitely cant afford one now so in the end this is the car I that Mopar never built, 71 GC AAR Cuda.
At this point however I have about 15 k in the car so as far as budget I am doing ok

Thanks for all the replies guys , this board is a great inspiration lots of builds here and lost of motivation.
I am down the home stretch here,I bought an aluminum radiator and wanted to use the stock shroud ,so I was able to get some speed nuts to fit and with that sorted the engine is in along with the trans, exhaust, electrical, cooling lines, fuel lines all has been installed in the car.
I DID manage to get it started last week but.................no oil pressure the engine sat for 6 years and the oil pump was dry so I removed the filter , jammed some assembly lube, pulled the dizzy ,got the tool spun the pump backwards ,got it to pressurize(pulled the sending unit to make sure...... spewed all over ,made a mess),clean that up and finally ........got it running
Its a bit smokey this was the first start up
a huge mile stone here is a vid and a pic as it sits now I am taking a few days break from it as I really need to I have been on it all winter , but now I have something that moves under it own power a big step in the resto makes it way more fun

Pure Inspiration Drew. I have been back in the garage and got my rear 1/4 all welded on now, just need to tidy up before I clean back all the welds.
Also needed to have time away from 3 foot high flames and a charred sofa.

You shouldn't be welding on the sofa Matt.
