Hey Steve, great to see you here.
Nice van! There is one just like it at the local Mopar graveyard. But too far gone. I had the original seats out of it. Swapped them for a pair of Cuda seats I had.
I bought the pickup from your dad, and I remember meeting you and chatting about the VW.
I did bring it over to Canada with me, and I took it to some shows, cruises and some race meets. So I raced it in the UK and in Canada. It picked up a few best truck trophies over here.
Then I sold it. It was a silly move on my part, But was given a lot of money for it. The guy that bought it went over every inch of the body with a magnet, and only found i area of bondo.
He bought it for his wife, she drove it once, and did not like it. It now sits in storage with a very nice Challenger, that holds the Canadian stock class record of it's year. He will not sell and he will not use either of them. Shame really.

Wow busy forum - thanks for the positive comments guys. The bus needs a lot of tlc! Definitely a work in progress, slow progress!
Dad is over Akeley at the NSVA 40th Van nats in the xplorer this weekend, it's still going strong.
Hey Jeff, I hope all is well on your side of the pond. I remember seeing the for sale add on you tube, what a great truck!
I have a few questions on mine already and wanted adds - i'll attempt to get them in the correct forum area though.

My mate has just imported this one...its lived in to say the least but very cool.

Slow progress!
The starting issue is sorted, we have rebuilt the carb and ditched all of the LPG gear. Progress!
Kind of...
A compression check came up with 0 compression on one of the cylinders. After much beard scratching and talking to local garages we are going to have a go at taking off the head and I assume (speculate) will be fitting a new exhaust valve. Maybe.
Anybody recommend who to buy things such as a valves for a 318 from? And gaskets etc?
I have used stateside autos for a few things, anybody got any recommendations?

Thanks Duncan, I needed a full gasket kit anyway so ordered a new valve at the same time- was only a tenner. May do business in the future though, from looking through your website inventory - you have some parts for sale that are on my wish list!
Well, I bit the bullet and pulled the head off - a buggered exhaust valve was the scenario. Head is off at a local machine shop, a light reface, new guide, valve seat and check the health of the rest.
Pulling it all to pieces was fun - putting it back together should be interesting
