I got the breakdown on costs today... Still in shock..... I could buy new parts cheaper.
I should add the bits are off a 68 S Type jag. Gonna look great when done, just hope I make a few quid. Like most of you I'm a bit of a petrol head and the wife was trying to get me to sell a yank or two to buy her an Aston- Told her to do one but told her I would trade up to one but the yanks had to stay

Arlesey Polishing and Plating in Bedforshire have had good reports.
What Matt said.
Few years ago, but they did 23 bits of chroming for my charger (including both bumpers) and a bit of dent removal for 20% of what you are talking.
First rate job.
Arlesey Polishing and Plating were not able to do large bumpers when I went there. But that was a long time ago.
Had my whole 57 Chevy replayed in just 3 weeks, all for less than 400 quid!
And that included a California front bumper. And a lot of repairs.
Did help the foreman owned a 57 at the time!
That was Letchworth plating, they are great! But long gone I think.
There is a guy in Baldock that does great work on small stuff.
And the old boys in Clerkenwell done mu Mustang.
Due to stringent envrionment laws, it is a dying trade methinks.
Best chromers I've used in the midlands are Howells, Croft St. Walsall (01922 649992) Good quality work, very reasonable prices, done when they say it will be done, and most of their work is classic bike and car stuff, so they know what they are doing. Bumpers are no problem.
