The pitman arm could be out a 90 degrees

That has already been suggested on Rods n Sods.

no hole ,
the steering wheel to steering column to steering box input shaft , can only be fitted one way , because the master indexing spline . & its always got to be pointing at the 12 oclock position , & its the same on both ends of steering column


the only way you can mess that bit up , is if your replacing the coupler shoes & the steering shaft is turned 180 degrees ( B) so the indexing spline is in the 6 oclock position , when the coupler (A) is at 12 oclock then the steering wheel will be up side down ! :shock:

forgot to mention !! there is a hole in the coupler , for the roll pin , you stick a suitable size drill bit or punch in there to lign up the coupler with the grove in the steering box input shaft , then tap pin in , use plenty of copper grease , it goes in easy & should come out just as easy with a little tap , if not !! don't just smack it with a hammer , could / can damage steering column etc
