Is leaving the scene of an accident not a good enough reason for the police to trace an owner anymore?

I Bananarama! by a car while on my pushbike and then repeatably punched by the driver while I was recovering from my head injury and was not capable of defending myself. Had to go to A&E for the cuts and bruses and a check to make sure my brain was still OK.

The Police were called by other drivers who witnessed it. Full description of vechicle and reg number.

The Police did sod all. Just told me they couldn't prove who was driving the car. I wasn't even offered an identity line or anything.

I can only assume the guy was a mate of a copper somewhere. Probably goes to the same gym. The guy was obviously a boxer from the way he Bananarama! me.

Nope. I was knocked onto the pavement by his vehicle as he swung into the inside lane from the outside lane behind me.

I was just picking my bike up and checking it over and he just came at me. I never said a damn word.

It upset me a lot at the time because I couldn't defend myself. All the training I had had in the past was gone. I was on the (electric) bike in the first place because I was not really capable of driving and couldn't even walk very far.

I thought he was coming over to see if I was alright to be honest. Bit of a shock when he started laying into me and saying I had hit his car.

Actually it was a Mitsubushi Animal pick up or similar. But I can't spell that.

Two years earlier you would have decked him.

There is no call for that sort of behaviour, I'm thinking of becoming a JP so I can dish out some suitable punishment.

I would have had that bloke publicly flogged and had "tosser" tattood on his forehead.

There you go, who's voting for me as PM!
