I have found the fundraising almost as hard as the run ! I have applied for the ballot place. For 10 years and never got one ? So I run for the children for reasons above but they need sponsorship,
This year as well as working full time and following my 2 boys round their footy matches at weekends and 3 times a week ! To raise 4k I have had donations from you wonderful people . Made 50 cheese and onion rolls every Saturday and Sunday since Xmas for my 2 local pubs to sell. Done 2 bag packs in local co-op. Grown 700 plants and sold them. Massive Easter raffle 150 emails to business who have been amazingly generous. Donating for the raffle, and an Easter egg raffle ,
Left to do is an Italian evening in local pub. Beer and butcher raffle at local pubs cider fest and the lovely kids at st Mary's school in Tetbury where I work as an emergency practitioner are doing a non uniform day for me !!!!
It's been hard work but amazing! so many lovely generous people on this world it gives you faith back. You hear so much bad stuff it really makes it all worthwhile thank you all xxxx

Your so right ! When I first started for children with leukaemia 1 in 5 died now due to fundraising and research none die of leukaemia only the treatment ! They need to research which child needs radical treatment and which needs less , How fab is that ? Let's hope they do it now for cancer!!!
Cheers

Sometimes victims of their own success I suppose , but who would take the risk wait for government or get people to fundraise ? I know which the government would choose !

I can give you some villeroy and boch glasses to auction off or raffle, they retail at £20 a glass so would be a good win for somebody

I like stuff for kids cancer, I was 18 when I had Hodgkin's disease and luckily came through it ok. Not everybody who had my type of cancer did at the time so I appreciate the advances of medicine
