So dave.how much do I need open it .i take it I open that up and close the curb idle .and hopfully it will not draw so much from the idle circuit.and the zorst will smell of roses

You will find it is a very fine adjustment. Just opening it a crack will send the rpm up.

Open it too much and you will be on the secondary main jets so be careful.
