Hot starting problem

Could it be the voltage regulator getting all hot n sticky?

Yeah, voltage reg was fu'd and changed it tested bat today and is reading 12.3v on tick over so back to Halfords.
Trickle chargers are good, have one on me old Jag for the past 4 years someone sold me a transformer thingy ;) for council lock up could do with one for 'Cuda lock up.

I guess the answer is to go back to an old type big battery like I used on the '69, 850 amp I think it was, never had an issue with that in 2yrs of racing it, and I didn't run an alternator either, not that one will put much in in a 1/4 mile., we only charged it every now and again with the genny while at a meet.

I'll not have to worry about that Les have enough trouble with what I've got.
Bat to Halfords today changed no probs except it was flatter than the one I gave them, back down again for another WHAT A DIFFERENCE think my fu'd reg done the damage.
