Could it be the voltage regulator getting all hot n sticky?

I guess the answer is to go back to an old type big battery like I used on the '69, 850 amp I think it was, never had an issue with that in 2yrs of racing it, and I didn't run an alternator either, not that one will put much in in a 1/4 mile., we only charged it every now and again with the genny while at a meet.Pete wrote:We have had SO much hassle with the modern Calcium batteries.![]()
They are useless in the Race car as it does not get used regularly and these batteries do not seem to hold a charge is left unused. We have gone through 3 this year under warranty and still have not got an answer.............
