I went last Sunday. Very worth it but very crowded.
Thanks for the heads up Nick, will bear that in mind but don't want to miss it.
Did the Somme, Menin Gate and Passchendaele last weekend to visit Great Grandfathers graves.
Apparently they do a roll call everyday at sunset but heard it gets very busy.

Back on topic for a mo....
Just got an email back from Goodwood, that starts:
"Thanks very much for pre-registering for
VEE-POWER SUNDAY
02/11/2014. There has been a great deal of interest in the meeting and it promises to be a wonderful day.
We’re very pleased to tell you that your vehicle has been accepted, and we would like to invite you to park within the Goodwood Motor Circuit where your vehicle will be on display for everyone to appreciate."
So all we need now is a dry forecast....

Jobsworths...
Yes Stu, I remember that miserable git

You likely to be there on Sunday?
I haven't pre-registered Rob, but I might zap down in the M*stang if the weather stays nice.

keep an eye out for us if it's dry, we should be there. Or give me a bell (same number if you still have it) and we can try and meet up

A suprisingly good turnout at Goodwood despite the very wet and windy weather.
Quote and link to photo gallery from Goodwood's Breakfast Club website below:
That we ended up with a grid and three paddocks crammed full of cars, bikes, pick ups and two Spitfires says a lot about what a popular fixture Breakfast Club has become and the redoubtable nature of the people who make such an effort to be here. We salute you!

Thanks Mike - was that your black Chally on the grid?
I'm not surprised they didn't include a pic of ours in that gallery - we got there about 8.15 and had to park way over in the car park that gets used for the fun fair and trader village at the Revival meet

We thought leaving home around 6am was early enough...
Mind you, it prob didn't look very photogenic after 100 miles of driving through rain & muddy puddles.
Still, we had a good time tho
Pics to follow....

Yes, that was my Challenger, I felt obliged to go having been allocated a grid spot. It wasn't looking quite so shiny by the time I got it home though! Managed to "Dodge" the worst of it on the way there but it needed a thorough hose down later at home.
Met and chatted to some great people when sheltering in the pits from those sudden downpours. There was plenty of that positive
"Oh its only a few drops of rain" British spirit which is normally reserved for wet Bank Holidays.
Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Rob,
Nice pics - love your choice of Italian car content too - thanks for sharing.
Is that your Polara in the flickr 'album' that I posted a link to earlier?

Thanks Mike, yes that was our grubby wet Polara
Nice of him to take a couple of pics tho
What did you make of the variety of cars that got in as 'Vee Power' cars?
With all the fuss they make now about registering to make sure people don't get turned away, who don't comply with the chosen theme, there were a lot of flat engined Porsches & Subarus
Great turn out tho, despite those imposters

Maybe the organisers were worried that their proposal for a
'Flat-plane-crank Power Sunday' wasn't going to bring in much of a crowd.
Loved the eclectic mix of vehicles, though I wonder if a better weather forecast would have shifted the balance more in favour of classics over weather-proof moderns.

Looked like a great day despite the weather, will try to get there sometime.
Love the photos as always Rob, especially the yellow Italian thing, is it an Iso?

I think the yellow Italian in Rob's gallery is an ISO Rivolta (small block Chevy)

Yeah, I can recall it from the Nats a few years back, ran pretty strong from what I remember.
Great pics Rob, some superb machinery there!
