How come a lot of the other models don't have a hole for the spare like our '66?

Cuda's and challengers are so short behind the rear wheels that the fuel tank occupies the area where the spare wheel well would be. The boot is also very shallow compared to the other models which is why a luggage rack was an option.

Looks like a lot of Japanese cars have a 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern (5 x 114.3mm)
Also LR Freelander.....but don't think they have spacesavers!
