Dunc, I couldn't agree more. I'm bringing the girl to this one, she's coming to more and more as she gets older. She loves helping me fix the old bike and Barracuda and to be honest I think she'll have more memories of her old man from that than anything else when she's older. If you've got the pinto with you, I'll bring her over to say hi, so she can get a real life grip that the girls can get stuck in too, if that's good with you.

Love your tribute to your old man on it and love the fact that the girls drive it too. Hoping it will give Jess the confidence she needs to go for it.

See you there, Buddy. :thumbright:

:blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

You "old boys" trying to race each other up the strip, just to prove your "MEN"........get a life    and act your age. Leave racing to the youngsters, there`s nothing finer than sitting at a static car show watching the world go by ;) ;) ;)

I'm happy to do both, but not sure that racing is any less 'boring' than static shows. Went to North Weald last Sunday, and wanted to see these two 'have at it' but the queue to race was a mile long and moving so slowly that after an hour and they still hadn't moved, I gave up and went home! :sleepy2:

Don't mind the odd show if it's local and at an interesting location. I gave up on North Weald years ago, which is a shame 'cos it's only a few miles away. It seems to attract every oik in London, the pits look like a crowded Tesco's car park, and you'll be lucky if you get a couple of runs in after queuing for hours innit....

Jeeeeez how many static cars shows can you attend there comes a time when you realize that perhaps 2-4 cars are different than the previous one you went to, did that bollax 88-92 had enough same old same old only thing that kept me goin that long was the stupid driving /racing to and from the static shows other than that boooring :P :P :P :P .

Drag meet see all your mates beautiful prepped cars doin what the usa intended them to do from that crazy era gettin thrashed nothing finer, maybe we could start a new race series at the nats, fasten one of the deckchair lovers to the back of the racecar in his deckchair, n whip him up the quarter see if we could raise his heartbeat from below rest, ;) ;) :P :P :P :P
