The Cragers were a bolt together design so you had a huge selection of widths and backspaces. You could even just turn them around as the back was the same as the front. Centrelines are permanently rivetted together so a very different wheel.
A few years ago a firm called Trick wheels popped up with a website and some press coverage. They said they were ready to re introduce the Super trick and my favorite motor wheel fly's would be next. A couple of years passed and they disaperred without trace, not sure if they ever sold anything in the end.

As for the Don Nicholson Pinto, the Cragars are the same design as the Centerlines and I thought Dunc might make an exception as he's partial to a bit of Pinto action

can make an exception Rob they do look correct and period no doubt but i dont like em, my old orange challenger had them and i hated the way it looked, put the ARE wheels on and it transformed its look much more aggresive,

That makes sense Blue, Cragars being used more for race cars thanks to their modular design

I do agree tho Dunc, Steve etc, we liked them at the time we bought ours ('87?) but wouldn't fit them nowadays if we wanted an aftermarket wheel.

In fact we sold ours on to Adam 'Brutus' who I think sold them on to... one of our Yorkshire contingent on here... Dave B or Jerry S? So they're still being used somewhere on a race car...

Centrelines suited some cars but could make them look somewhat slab sided. I only ever liked them in satin finish, most got polished and looked pants. I guess they had thier day but in the early '80's they were the only wheel to have.

Always preferred wolfies to centrelines, when I got my charger it had polished centrelines on it. My El-Camino has satin finish centrelines though, still undecided whether they'll be staying or not.

I'm a wolfies man myself but like all wheels different body styles suit different wheels better!!
Think the current Centerlines would suit the Elco better!!

Agree about the fronts lookng lost, it's a huge space to fill up front. Might try some wolfies on it that I just happen to have lying around, see if they work better first
