I'd have thought these 'anniversary' years would be a good set of years to choose cars having their 50th anniversary... 1967 this year, 68 next, 69 after that etc... if we wanted to go with our own theme.

One of the best stands we've ever had was a few years ago when Pete had his Superbird on the stand, with Ivor's RR, a 'new for' 71 RR and a 70 Valiant... all in the guise of a dealer's showroom from 1970

my car was on the MMA stand in 2011(1969 RHD green barracuda). its available
if you would like it. I live only about ten miles from the NEC and would be happy to help out, but don"t want to discourage new blood from showing there cars

I had mine on there in 2014, It is a great feeling to have a car on display at the NEC.

It is a commitment for the weekend to get the car there and back, but worth it in my opinion. I only had a 2 hr drive, but Simon brought his Challenger all the way from Cornwall for the same year.

Being local to the NEC certainly has its advantages for this event.

Longshot's Dart would be great on the stand, as it has the patina look that is very popular at the moment.

hi all who is going to the nec show, my charger is nowhere near done yet. but as im not far away. I can offer myself as a helper on the sunday , and as im a chef in toby carvery. also near by. I offer this advice. if you are in the area before 11am. go and have a full breakfast. you will love it. better than any greasey spoon. plus I have my galaxie if you wish to show what mopars opposition was offering all those muscle car days ago

Im with Pete for the three days so will be great to meet up with you on Sunday. Thanks for the advice re the brekkie etc (stop encouraging me!), to help on the stand and for the offer to use your car. We tend to stick with Mopar and our stand is quite small (four cars) so we don't have much room after we have decided on what cars to display. Maybe when your Charger is done, you could put it forward to be displayed in one of the future shows??

hi steve n pete thank you for your replies, yes steve tobey is open from 7 for brekkie now. cracking brekkie it is too, im working the Friday and Saturday. but will try and get to the show aswell. I don't have a woman, but I do have the next best thing to a woman tho. shes called 68 dodge charger and will be bekoning me to caress her rusty straight lines and make her be great again. so tearing my self away from her is difficult. as im sure you understand. mabe I will see you both . see how I get on between now and the show.
