DaveB wrote: Thu Mar 22, 18 8:20 am I like the idea of no prep and the 1/8mile,you could make a car on solid suspension hook at the Pod,this will equal out the field I reckon.
This is racing, not sitting in a field
I agee about sitting in a field talkin bollax bores the hell out of me, racing is where its at,, but no prep nah, difference is you want to win and the et/mph does not matter to you. i want to win but more than that i want the car to hook and run as fast as it can possibly go, havin to pedal it to get it down the track defeats the object of a drag race car in my mind, ;) ;)

I actually think if I wanted a car to be stepping out n peddling it I would sooner build a circuit or drift car,,

Fantastic event,Small changes to rear suspension and wagon hooked as good as the prepped tracks, didnt have to pedal car or lift on any run,got to second round and got beaten by the Thatado camaro, who went to the final and got beaten by Lee Huxleys mustang,£2000 for winner.
Never been to Rockingham before, what a venue.
There was a nice looking pale yellow coronet with a tan roof in the show and shine, not seen that one before.

Yeah 318 Dunc :thumbright: some cars just didnt hook, and didnt see them changing anything to improve, they just kept going round, blowing the tyres off
The No Prep is a real leveller for heads up racing, thats why a 9 sec car won, over some of the 7 sec cars in attendance.
I think they will try do it again.
