They’re okay on the upwards surfaces but the sides are pitted and a bit dull,they used to be black on all the inserts on the lettering too but I’ve had all the paint off them. They are such cool looking badges I wanted to do them justice,I bought them from us ebay and they’re off a seventies van.

I also have a number plate on retention that’s a 77 R reg,SSS949R,the van is 88 E. The only outward thing that dates these vans is the swage line in the centre of the panels and I wanted to create a more seventies look overall. So chroming badges could be the thin end of the wedge

Nearly there!

Back from the Bodyshop and a frantic few days doing all the brakes,servicing it and fitting all the extra bits,off to Le Mans in it weekend after next and I have to say I’m rather pleased with the look.
