Sorry for the delay Rob....Im in discussions with our leader as we speak re final choice / direction. We have potential to have a race car only display for a change but will let you know by tomw at the latest. Thanks for your patience, I know you have to arrange time off etc...

Hi Steve, no that's fine, no hurry tbh, just wondered how things were going. I've seen a couple of cars mentioned....

Thanks Rob. We are trying very hard to follow up on the very constructive criticism of our stand from last year by putting something together that's just a little different from recent years. Im trying not to spoil the surprise for everyone but we are steering away from original, restored, 'stock' type cars this year and working on something that may well be a show stopper compared to our 'competitors'. A lot of work is being done behind the scenes and we just need a few planets to align and your camera will be working overtime!

For now Rob/ Stu, Dave and Gary, we wont be needing your cars/ truck for the display this year. We would love it though if you would consider continuing your support by keeping the offer open for next year please? We try to get cars involved that haven't been on display before. We don't have the trendiest stand but we do offer the public some different cars to look forward to each year (unlike a lot of much bigger clubs).

Jon / Nicola, thank you for being our last minute reserve car again this year. You wont believe how much stress it alleviates knowing you are there to help at the last minute if we need help!! I will keep you in the loop via PM if that's ok?

You could park at the train station? The place is so big you don't even have to go outside to get from the station to the NEC.

More often than not, by the time we get back to the car at the end of the day, the car park attendants collecting money or tickets have gone home so we get out without paying. For this to work the best advice is to NOT buy a ticket when you arrive - plan to pay at the exit when you leave

Please be aware that the discount code doesn't work for the Friday. (I checked - screen grab of the "No help whatsoever desk" conversation)
So its the full £33.00 each for adults unless anyone else has any other ideas?

No that's correct Roy, unfortunately - they've never had the discount available for Friday tickets.
I think it's their way of keeping the Friday more 'exclusive'... and at the same time getting more money from us

We're still going on the Friday tho, makes it much easier to get around (less kids for one thing!) plus for me, easier to take pics
