Re: Boring.....
The Raybans don’t fit my fatter head now sadly, but I live the Aviator design and have three pairs. What style were Mr Fonda’s?
Re: Boring.....
Ah yes I've seen one of those stereos before. Fonda was wearing the original Olympian design, I sold mine. I still have a pair of Ambermatics and a pair of shooters with the mad yellow lenses.

Re: Boring.....
They are super cool
particularly the last pair.
Re: Boring.....
I love all that 60s style and graphics etc. One of my favourite posters in my collection is an original British cinema poster for 'Where Eagles Dare'. 1968 (same as my Polara), around when I was born (ish) and absolutely stunning artwork from back when it was all done by artists...love it

Love the Ray Bans Blue
I still use the only pair I have which were purchased by me in 1977 second hand (they must be classic)

Re: Boring.....
Loving the poster Steve. I have a few and slowly getting them framed. This is one of my favourites even if it was shot in a Quarry in Barnet.
My photos have gone funny

Might be worth a bit now tho, so i better get it back off him!

Re: Boring.....
That's a cracking Motorhead poster. Some of the artwork on the tour posters are great. I love tour programmes too. Used to get one at every concert I went to but it was getting daft (and expensive). I do keep all my tickets though and have framed a few of my favourites.
Martin, a pal of mine, got me an Aerosmith programme. His father in law is the guitarist in Magnum. They supported Aerosmith years ago and Martin missed my wedding as he had tickets to the show. He turned up at my reception at midnight with the programme, signed by all but one of the band. Apparently, the missing band member (cant remember which one, not Joe Perry or Steven Tyler thankfully) was in the toilet when the signing was done.....doh!

Tenuous link here.... A good friend of mines daughter was PA to Liv Tyler until a couple of years ago. He was given a pair of sparky trainers that were signed by Steve Tyler which he still wears.
Re: Boring.....
Im loving this!! If you get time, watch the US version of 'Who Do You Think You Are'. One episode features Liv Tyler and she traces her family back to before the American Civil War. Her great great Grandfather was a Buffalo Soldier and was a military drummer in the Civil War. Amazing how Steven Tyler, several generations later, was a natural drummer!! Also, Courtney Cox is a direct descendant of William the Conqueror.
I digress...all interesting stuff. This thread is turning into collectors corner. On that, collecting is a predominantly male pastime. It originates from the days before cameras etc when gentlemen of the aristocracy travelled the world and collected tokens of their adventures to display in their homes as conversation pieces. Collectors can become addicted and become 'completests'..... they cant settle until they have collected one of every version of a certain thing. Ring any bells Duncan??
Cheers Steve

Re: Boring.....
Funny story about completists, Tony Wilson who used to run Factory records hated collectors and knew full well the completists would want to collect everything with a "FAC"number, so he gave the Hacienda night club a number as well as Ian Curtis's grave so that no one had a full set...
I have a thick wad of gig tickets I really should put in a frame one of these days.

If we're talking collecting, I've just started collecting vintage brogues. Florsheim Imperial Golden Harvest. I do like a big welt!
