I keep seeing Temu on my phone but have convinced myself its a scam  :D The stand looked very professional with 2 really great cars.

I wonder why our stand size has reduced so much? I know when I helped organise it was a 'battle' to get a plot that the larger cars could fit onto without there being a pillar in an awkward place etc.

If you are at all into car shows and meeting like minded enthusiasts, this is a great show to be involved in. I have many fantastic memories, a lot of which revolved around drinking coffee with Pete and all things linked to Wills (Autofetish) outrageous Charger :thumbright: :thumbright:

We've learnt over the last 2 or 3 years (Scotty Dave might be able to confirm) that stand size is directly related to how many show tickets are sold using the club discount code. Which I suppose is as fair a way as any :-k
I think those ticket sales in the previous couple of years (using our code) had been down a bit on years prior to that, but this year they were up a fair bit, so I'm hoping that will help us get a bigger stand for next year [-o<

Where is Will ? Has he blown himself up yet ? I seem to have lost the story with the Jade-Warrior thing ?

Sorry Rob, meant to reply earlier

That would make sense re the number of tickets although Im guessing if a club with 4 members sold no tickets but all had Vintage Bugattis, they wouldnt have a problem getting the space. Just playing Devils advocate really.

The American section of the show is a big draw in my opinion as they are a bit different and exotic compared to much of the rest of the show. Dave does such a good job of organising our stand and the cars always look very special, you would think the organisers would want as big a selection as possible. Four was nice when we didnt have to fight for space but all concerned have done a really fantastic job of displaying two of the nicest cars you will see. Im sure they got the attention they deserved.

I often wonder what Will is doing these days. A smashing fella. I lost my phone just after I moved about 5 years ago and all my numbers (I now have a hand written list in the drawer as I cant fathom out backing up the numbers  ). His Charger was a thing to behold when it fired up in the hall. I remember literally seeing people running from the other halls to see it when we were setting up or breaking down the stand. I always felt a bit sad on the Sunday evening when everyone from the club was going but only because we had had such a good time. Very good days indeed with very good people :thumbright: :thumbright:
