After the Plateau 6 cars had moved off to the grid (which I have a video of but cant post on here   ), I wandered back to the camp site for some much needed liquid refreshment :occasion5: :drunken: and took in the sights on the way...

Suitably refreshed, but not too much as I still had photos to take  ... off we wandered again round the infield before heading out for the evening to Arnage for the French version of the Chelsea Cruise...

A Friday tradition is to go into Arnage for the evening and have a meal and a drink while watching the cars drive up and down the main drag... like I say, a French version of the Chelsea Cruise. Thankfully young James offered to drive us in his Subaru, while Matt & Kev drove their Challenger & Satellite. Traffic was a bit slow on the way in so it was nice to not have to worry about overheating :angryfire:

On the way back to the circuit we stopped off to watch the racing at Arnage Corner - the opposite side of the circuit to where we were staying, so it was good to get a different perspective...

I tried a few night-time shots, but... I'll put the blurry shots down as 'arty'... :? :-k

On to Saturday 7th... I was going to say this was our 40th anniversary with the Plymouth, but I realised yesterday that it was actually June 7th 1985 that we bought the car, not July, so the Saturday was actually the 40.083th anniversary... :-k

And by the Saturday, the dusty campsite was leaving the cars looking pretty sorry for themselves, but with rain forecast later in the day, we left them to get cleaned off on their own :toothy2:

So after our usual breakfast of sausages and baguettes we headed off for a wander around the paddock, after grabbing a few shots of the track action just outside our campsite entrance

So about 15000 steps later we eventually made our way back to Camp Triumph for afternoon tea... :occasion5: ;)

Some great photos Rob, thanks for sharing. What a great trip.

Love those Panteras and M1's :) . And the Gran Torino Nascar. I believe it ran at Le Mans in 1976.

So with rain on its way, later in the evening, we were keen to see some racing while it was dry, so I grabbed a few more piccies from just outside our campsite entrance, while the others decided what to wear...

A good vantage point but this part of the circuit is still about 60m away so a bit of a stretch to get good photos :-k
