Does sound cheap that!
Praps its just an ally post wedged between the axle & the floor pan
The one you got Kev is $79.95 from Mancinis & $74.99 from MagnumHP.
Still sounds cheaper than making one, but the dreaded shipping/duty/tax will prob put the mockers on that.
Also thinking of one of them fancy driveshaft loops, not keen on the colour tho! http://www.magnumhp.com/drivesusp.php#
Reckon they could be made for way less than $150. Ok, maybe not quite as pretty but could be just as functional.

Thanks for the tech on the angle Kev. Had to do a bit of extra homework on the old interweb, and found this http://www.carcraft.com/howto/91758/, some good info to back up your explanation ;)

My floor pan's got a reinforcement lump from the factory, or is that standard and it cracks anyway?

What I was after Kev was suff like minimum thickness steel for the clamps and size/grade of bolt. I do know how to bolt two bits of metal together.

I'm suprised you haven't tried the old electrical tape method Kev?

Glad that Northern Engineering isn't completely dead, Dave :D
4"x1.2"x0.35" bar with 0.5" L grade bolts held with Nyloc-nuts so as not to bend the clamps. In 4 yrs of running them I've had one loosen off after about 400 miles. HTH! 8-)

Actually. Thinking about it clearly. I am not sure I would have the clearence between spring and tyre to do that. I will have to check.

It might have to be a roll of gaffer tape after all. :D
