Andy
need to know a few details on the car
what car
what year
drum or disc
When fitting a new booster this can cause the M/C to start leaking as the old M/C and booster seals etc will have settled downwards a little, as you fit the new booster this CAN pull upwards a little on the M/C seals
looks to be a choice of with or without M/C on drum cars and only with on disc cars, not worth messing about really as the M/C adds around £20 to the total cost

OK Will its a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda. R/H/D. It also comes with the four pot disk brakes up front with the 11" Heavy Duty drum's at the rear.
I'll go with whatever option you think is best if the price is within my budget.

OK, Ive been out to play on the Barracuda today to try and investigate the leak again. I dunno what I have done differently this time but now I fire the old girl up the vaccume sucks the brake pedal right down to the floor causing me to have full brakes on all the time and they work too!! IE fully assisted brakes as soon as I fire up. Any ideas?
PS I also tried sucking on the hose and managed to build up a vaccume inside the booster which I could release by dislodging the rubber seal.

OK will do Steve. I have not interfeered with the pedal side so im guessing it must be a leak on the pedal side? Can you think of anything to look for or teltail signs?

I striped and inspected the booster again for any signs of damage, found nothing and rebuilt the lot again. I now have have decent bkakes up to a point. The brakes stop the car but if I use to much force or keep the pedal to the metal to long the brake stays on and I have to lift it back into place with my foot, then it works again??
Anyway desided to get my free road tax for the next year!! Such a good feeling.
