hey dunc we believe our motor has around 850-870 hp we have been told by the guy who built the car it has 750 at rear wheels(all figures seem to add up 3600ld car, best et of 9.89 @ 136= 750 rear wheel multiply that figure by 0.85 to get hp at crank), we've spoken to barry grant and the first thing they said was that the 280 was in no way up to what we need, it has to be a 400. so we'll see, see you there dunc and every one else

James the altered runs a 32 body,hope to get and post some pics tomorow when we refit the body,i will try and find out who built the car

James just been talking to the owner of the altered (Pete) he dont know who built the frame its been around for years now he thinks its doc claytons old car,he got it of Andy Hasel who ran it with various engines including a blown Kieth Black,he also ran it as memphis belle (funny car) for a while,he thinks it was Mr Big years ago as well

cheers for the kind words kev,and thanks to del for the pics,we have finished most of the work at last and pete has taken the car home to finish a few small jobs so its looking good for the hot rod drags

What are the engine/gearbox/axle specs and what times is he gunning for. (I'm a bit lost here. Who's car is it, who's sitting in it, who's driving it?)
