Sorry if I caused confusion, in fact it could be me reading things wrong. When i travelled to Devon my dipstick was reading just below FULL. When I got there it was just about a pint down as I added a pint to get it back to the same.

On the journey home was when the pressure drop occured, this was when I found the oil level very low.

I'll need to look into where im loosing oil. If someone had told me all mopars burn a little oil then I would have been ok, now im concenred but its not the end of the world. I'll have a poke about and see what I can see.

I have never owned a mopar engine that didn't have a windage tray under the crank (I even fitted one to my old 318 car) so maybe that is why I have never come across the low level/low pressure thing before?

Hope you find the problem Markie and I hope it is cheap to fix!
