Can you still get those? I thought they had stopped making them. Moog were they not?

Moog part # K7103 . Seem to be still listed . Use one set per side.

Year one sell these, they are really only used if frame rails are sagging, accident damage.I take it they only give you about 1 1/2 * more castor.I've yet to see a second gen charger self centre with P/S box. Please correct me if I'm wrong & I'm not talking about after market boxes. The more KPI you have, the better s/centre, only drawback is it tends to cause heavier steering. No problem then with P/S.

Just checking that you know KPI is NOT the same as Caster ?
KPI is the angle of the steering axis viewed from the front of the car . Caster is the angle viewed from the side .
More caster will give you better self-centre.

Yes I'm aware that it is not the same as caster, but the more KPI a vehicle has,the more it tends to 'lift the car'on one side, hence, helping to self centre the steering.working in an arc,so to speak. If mopars were designed more with a shopping trolley in mind, they might steer/drive better.

My car is pretty heavy to steer and self centres no problem, take your time and you can set it up pretty good, oh did I mention it goes round bends as well

ah - OK

I must get my suspension textbooks out again and brush up - I'd forgotten how interesting this was ! Have never bothered looking into the effects of KPI much .

To be honest I don't recall my power steering being too bad at self centering. Not as good as the manual steering though.

So Alex, you have conquered the laws of gravity

.BTW,are you using a firm feel box?

No, stock box, well adjusted and nicely set up, I want a car I enjoy driving so manual was out for me, I am not saying it is a Lotus 7 but it does the job, when we did Pete's Superbird I thought that was a pretty cool compromise as well.

If my C body self centres,is steady at 80mph and doesn't eat it's tyres then I must have got it about right

A real pleasure to drive.
