I knew there was a way to check it. Thanks mate...

Well, I've now made Brooklands and the Sun Inn. Done about 350 miles with no real problems. Ditched the flexi fan for the original, and got a 'pusher' leccy fan to go in front of the rad. Can't get the vac secondaries to open on the rebuilt 750 Holley, so replacing it for a 850 dp. Got some Dynomax mufflers turning up today. Will fit with an X-pipe system as soon as I can afford. The final thing to do is a 'kick back' test, and get the dizzy sent off to Wil for setting up.
Still on the hunt for an indicator switch, as mine is on the blink...
It's so good to have it back on the road, and to be able to make some meets. Poole this weekend (7th), weather permitting...

Great news Gringo, isn't it great when a plan comes together?

I think I saw you driving your charger round the car park at brooklands.
It sounded great and it's great that you are using it as it is and making improvements along the way.
If I can afford to keep my charger I'm gonna do the same.

Know the feeling Matt. Starting to feel the pinch after all the money I've spent on it. Just hoping business starts to pick up soon.
Yeah, I think it was me driving round the car park. I was directed there by the marshall to begin with, but managed to blag my way into parking near the main show...
Wasn't me spitting my dummy about parking on the banking, by the way. I'd already gone home...

Had a good day today. Went to Bristol Exhausts, a 'Lifelong' franchise, and had a stainless system made for the car. They did a great job of creating an X-pipe, and fitting up to the new Dynomax mufflers I supplied. I retained the original kick-up-over-the-axle pipe, but had new stainless tips fitted. It's a more restrained burble, but does drone inside the car at certain speeds. But overall, I'm well chuffed...
Some before, during, and after shots...

Well, the ignition circuit I've eliminated from the enquiry. The fuel delivery is also not a problem. So the problem lies with the carb (Holley 750 vs). I'm thinking of switching to a Demon carb. Any recommendations would be appreciated...
