Thanks guys yes they have done a fantastic job and I can't thank them enough. The other half and myself are going again on Monday and taking the bumper with us and some well earned pennies. It has given me a whole new boost of enthusiasm and can't wait to just sit in it and make broom broom noises. We are still a very very long way off it being finished but this is the start it needed. One more 69 saved from the scrap heap

Si -at the moment all I want to do is get it on the road and drive it. I can't afford the work that it needs to be a show winner and I'm not going to lee it as that would just cost way too much cose if you are going to do that it has to be done properly. I just want to get out there and have fun in a straight car and turn up to events and shows in something a little more fitting than a fiesta. I can then tweak it as I go. I'm sure at some point in the very very distant future I might brave it up the track but that's a long way away.

And a slippy slope too. I remember thinking the /6 was fine for just cruising about. A handful of runs later and the wallets are empty and there's 2 V8's, an 8 3/4 locker with 4:10 gears in the garage. And it hasn't moved since...!

Yes can easily be done. This is my first mopar and in true style to me I've given myself quite an introduction. I will be taking it easy when I finally get it on the road as it's gonna take a while getting used to it and driving on the wrong side of the car. I have driven Dave2lanes's Charger in traffic through London so quite glad I live in the country. With all the work that's gone into it so far and all the work that is still needed I plan on keeping this for life not just Christmas and don't want it back in the same condition I started with. I will still however drive it most days and all weathers and just enjoying everything about it.

What`s happening?

Not much which is why I've not posted much. Floor and sill ordered in America but when they got the sill in from their supplier it was broken in two so once they get the new one the bits will be shipped straight to Johns. So until they arrive there is not much to report on it. Unfortunately when the other half and myself went over there last John was not in as he was gallivanting about on his bike. Once the bits arrive then that will be the front done and it can then come off the jig so the other bits can be sorted out on it.

Tis frustrating waiting for parts , can't be doing with it , too impatient.

I know it's just so out of order

We've been waiting for weeks and weeks for these parts. Took a few weeks just to get the lingo sorted so we could communicate and now this setback. I'm getting p'd off with it and I'm sure John is not amused as it completely holds up his jig.

yep can be anoying waiting for parts ..thats why i always ask for a tracking number ..as i can watch where it is

We've used Jacks auto parts and have been very good in the past once you get over the words, (we ended up sending photos for the bits last time and included an English - American translation list) This time they have been a bit slow to say the least and this setback just makes it slower. They have been very good in the past with letting us know full shipping details as soon as it's left their shop in America and as soon as it hits English soil customs call me, I pay them then the bits continue their way.

I've heard nothing but good things about Jack's Autoparts, but don't ever use Jim's Autoparts.

Yes Jacks have been very good just slow on this last lot. They didn't have the parts I wanted in stock so have ordered them in. All my panels have come from them including the wings, quarters etc.
