Please refrain at the moments for commenting in the incident at night at Santa Pod.

This is due to impending potential prosecution activities and possible legal action.

This is not Big Brother speaking but we have been advised this is the most appropriate course of action and I have a responsibility to protect the best interests of the club.

Thanks for your understanding but I advise all members that any posting or comment on this site will be deleted without explanation or debate.

Thanks

Pete

Shame that had to happen, doesn't sound too clever... I had a false start getting up to the track on the Friday, but Saturday was brilliant and I wish I could've stayed later, but decided to drive back whilst it was still light. Great to meet more members and to see some I haven't seen in a while. Next year though if work allows I have told my family they have to come so I can stay for the whole thing. Also they will be useful for pushing the car in the queue for the track! :evil4:

Happily unaware of said incident. Just got home after 5'hour rainy run. Had a great Saturday having set out from Cornwall at 4am and ended up drinking late with some of the usual good suspects. Great to see so many Mopar folk turn up despite the rainy havoc of Friday. Nice to catch up with you all and great to see Simon from Swindon looking good after a rough couple of years.
10.29 with both wheels up from Micks Dart was highly entertaining and kudos to the French crew who turned up with nice cars, a complete gazebo garage and a good attitude all round.
Cheers to all from me and Cathy, sorry if we didn't catch up,with you :thumbright:

I had a great Nats despite the weather , and the pizza curse that stopped a late one Satuday ( sorry chaps  )
Was lovely to meet up with the usual bunch, and add a few faces to names.
Thanks to Mick and JohnS for keeping me entertained Friday , and helping me set up.
Sorry to those I didn't catch up with.
Roll on next year. :thumbright:

Well said, Mossy; I think the Nats Committee and team did the very best they could given the weather.

Great to see you again too! :thumbright:

Yep, Simon was pleased to be back, minus 10 stone, yes, 10 stone.

Swindon Massive enjoyed and manned up with the weather, even managing a disco tent effect with lasers and rope lights ! Only two electric shocks while putting it together !

Thanks to committee, organisers and sponsors as ever

I'll have to pay to talk to Matt soon!!!

Loving the "Roadrunner" too  ;)

Great shot of Roydon wheels up on the Saturday first run (by anyone!!!) of the day....later he found out that the track was still "moist" and they closed that lane.............

Well done on the NPB, timing was a bit poor though.......... ;)

Had a great day saturday lousy fri/sunday but nothing can be done about that, its a shame i feel the event has lost its original flavour sonewhat, but it looks like that is down to the revenue required to keep the event app the pro mods are needed but i cant help but think some mopar/muscle car owners wont bother attending the event due to this so numbers will be down to do with what the event started out as,

but what the hell it wont stop me,, ;) :D

Couldn't make it this year, but seen some pics on Facebook. Seems like there's far to many non mopars there. It looks just like the nostalgia nats etc.
I know its nice to see other makes, but I feel for the mopar owners not getting enough time to race due to the other non mopes there.

How does this event work exactly, is it run by the MMA or perhaps some other individual; do they/the MMA rent this place from Santa Pod for the 3 days?

I do not think the MMA runs the event, someone must though? :read2:

Dunc, spot on for me. It'll become a spectator only event for me in future. Why drive 600 miles x 15mpg and not get on the strip? I enjoyed the Pro Mod guys, breathtaking actually, but I still preferred watching the back to back rwyb late Saturday afternoon. Watching cars run by people you recognise/know is still something I really enjoy about the Nats.
Of course, there's no reason why the good MMA members could not turn up at an event like Gary's Picnic and turn it into a mini Nats. Plenty of strip time was available, can't see why it couldn't become a gathering for more MMA types and accept the Nats have had to change due to financial reasons.

I did feel for my Duth " Nats neighbours " , Ronny and Otto.
Set off Wednesday from Amsterdam with their race Duster on tow. Screen got broke on route to ferry , so they rushed back and threw a spare in their truck.
Removed the old one Friday , and fitted the spare early Saturday morning.
Off to sign on and were too late !
Shame I never knew of the signing on re opening at 5 o clock. !!

I Enjoyed the show even though it rained :)

I arrived at 4pm Friday and put my tent up in the rain. Thankfully i brought a gazeebo with me which acted as extra shelter as it didnt stop till 4am sat morn. Few brandy n cokes and a film on the lap top and then got my head down around 11pm. Saturday was a good day right up until this morning at 10am when the rain started again and is still going where i live

I thought it was pretty busy - not as busy as some of the other shows but imo I think most people saw the weather forecast and decided not to come.

I did notice a lack of younger MOPAR owners at the Pod. Maybe its the price of the cars or the fact that they grew up in a different era unaware of these supreme automobiles ?

Perhaps a few of us need to turn up at some of the European / Japanese events to help promote the club and the cars.

All in all an OK weekend :thumbright:
