Hi Rich,
I had missed the recent update on your car due to my hols.
What can I say, Car & colour looks fantastic
bet your really pleased.
I like the black wheels too, probably since I saw them on Brutus Charger. To me they just give the car that menacing look, as in "Go on Punk, make my day"
As for the bumpers, getting mine painted as well, although their only glassfibre, but the originals I had powder coated orange. Some will like. some wont, but as long as you do, thats all that counts

"I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered."
Cheers dude, I'd like to think I've stuck to what I wanted. I love the colour and the wheels, I think they suit each other and the subtle little touches give the car a bit of individuality.
Hopefully getting the engine fired up this week sometime, I will try and get video of the historic event.
Once it's back at mine, bit of paint on the floor metal then sound deadening, carpet and interior. Somewhere in there I'll fit the stereo and speakers, then headliner and we're ready to go I reckon. Just the brakes but I'm hoping they turn up while I'm doing the inside.
Hope the MOT man is ready for me(!)

Just spoke to the insurance company. My existing policy for the stock Charger was £172.20 with 3000 miles limited.
Me: Hi. I've modified the car.
Insurance: What have you done to it?
Me: New paint, new wheels, engine completely stripped and rebuilt, shaved door handles, side markers removed, upgraded suspension and brakes, new interior and will be fitting a decent stereo.
Insurance: One moment sir...
Me: (whistling)
Insurance: Ok sir, none of that will affect your premium. Would you like to renew your policy today.
Me: Hell yes I would!
Insurance: That'll be £172.20 please sir.
Me: No problem, do you want to see pictures of the modifications?
Insurance: Only if you want to show off your new paintwork sir(!)
Me: Well I'll send you some then!
END SCENE
I couldn't believe it. I officially recommend RH Specialist Insurance. I saw their big ad in Classic American with their typical quotes for certain cars but there's no way I thought the stuff I'd done to the car wouldn't effect my insurance! http://www.rhclassicinsurance.co.uk/

I'm with them
I'll see how I get on when I tell them I've gone from 318 to 440.
Mine is £107.10 with all the trimmings and has been for 3 years. I've not been able to beat their price.

Car is coming home tomorrow. Andy is being a top bloke (again) and bringing the car back over to mine from Daves.
Heard the car today over the phone, Dave and Eric fired it up last night and again this morning. Runs great I'm told. I will hear it tomorrow and see it externally complete (hopefully) then it's up to me to complete the interior while I'm waiting for brakes.
Thanks for the comments guys, it's been a long time coming and a lot of stress financially but I am glad it worked out and that the car looks so amazing.
Pictures tomorrow and maybe video.
