Sterling work as ever! These old cars can drive you nuts at times and it doesn’t always feel like the fun it should be…

Going to have another month off then get back on the mission!!!

looking back at the work gone into this machine is nothing short of incredible!
As Blue pointed out, sometimes these cars will exhaust you to the point of distraction, but when done and you smile every time you open the garage door! Every cut, every burn,
The endless headaches are suddenly gone!

You nailed it! In all honesty she has a point as two kids and two adults living in this workshop is a bit tight (see what I done there?! ) so constant bickering until they back in the car

Thank you mate. Indeed I make you right but such a kick when it goes well. I was expecting a snag list to be fair. I knew I’d never get in and plain sail away. Especially with my mediocre mechanical skills.

So please to read this update having spent years watching it sit there outside that house...

What a job you have done - from the early pics you were posting i was a bit like 'yeah. Thats gonna be tough' but from the moment you started measuring and jigging I could see it was going places. And to get it to the point of driving and shakedown - i mean wow. And 2300 miles last year - I did less than 100 - worst year yet for Charger. Gonna get back on it this year !

Also, man could I identify with some of the stuff you described. I went through a phase of blowing orange boxes and voltage regs like light bulbs - also traced to a faulty alternator - but MAN it was frustrating. I remember saying to my buddy "thats it I'm done. Set fire to it and Bananarama! down the hill". Suffice to say, I eventually found it and we move on... These old cars man - they can drive you insane.
But for every moment of ARGGHHH there are a dozen of "OMG its a charger !" or "Thats my favourite car ever" or whatever. It makes someones day and in a small way makes my day too.

Anyway. Top work. Cap doffed. Hope to see it in person sometime.

True credit to you, an amazing story and 2300 miles is very impressive indeed for the first year.
Shame you couldn't make the NEC at the last minute, I think your car would have stolen the show. 2025 maybe, just don't paint it before then!
